Founded in 2017 by Okan Üzey in Istanbul, Kalavara Film quickly emerged as a vibrant force in contemporary cinema. Its first feature project, My Suburban Stories, became one of the season’s most talked-about films, captivating a wide and enthusiastic audience.
Since its inception, Kalavara Film has developed projects every year that have been selected for numerous international fairs and markets. The company has repeatedly received production support from the General Directorate of Cinema Türkiye and TRT, taking on both main producer and co-producer roles for these acclaimed works.
With a vision that reaches beyond borders, Kalavara Film collaborates with producers from France, Germany, Croatia, Lithuania, Russia, and the Czech Republic, offering co-production and line production services that connect local talent to the global cinematic landscape.
