Founded in 2017 by Okan Üzey in Istanbul, Kalavara Film made its mark with its first feature project, My Suburban Stories, one of the season’s most talked about films, reaching a broad and engaged audience. A drive to explore and to discover new cinematic paths defines the company’s identity.
Since its establishment, Kalavara Film has developed projects each year that have been selected for international fairs and markets. The company has received production support multiple times from the Directorate General of Cinema of the Republic of Türkiye and TRT, taking on both main producer and co-producer roles in award-winning works.
With a vision that reaches beyond borders, Kalavara Film collaborates with producers from France, Germany, Croatia, Lithuania, Russia, and the Czech Republic, offering co-production and line production services that connect local talent to the global cinematic landscape.
